Chris Pelletiere - Graphic Arts/Book Covers
Book Covers
Chris' art was used for an eclectic mix of book covers. Several incorporated already-finished pieces, but some authors asked Chris for new work. An example is Brigit Pegeen Kelly's book Song, for which she wanted a woodcut of a goat in a specific style.
Comics/Graphic Art
Chris created comics, illustrations, and graphic artwork throughout his career. His work appeared in a range of independent and alternative publications, as well as in books and other projects. His work in the underground comix movement included Yellow Dog #23 (1972), now documented in the collection of the National Gallery of Art. The examples below include both published comics and individual illustrations, with titles and publication details provided where available.
